Tossing of the wedding bouquet
|
Near the end of the wedding ceremony, the bride will toss her bouquet to all
the unmarried women. The bride should either stand on a chair or on the top of
stairs for a more dramatic effect. This custom dates back to 14th century
England and is still popular at weddings today. The woman who catches the
wedding bouquet will be the next to marry. By Nicole Mazzeo Wrapwithus wedding favors |
