Some couples decide to send engagement
announcements to their family and friends to spread the good news. Very often
couples get engaged and don't set a wedding date for a while, or set a date 2
years in the future. In those cases it is a good idea to send out engagement
announcements since guests will not receive
wedding
invitations for a long time. Engagement announcements should be formal, but
they only need to be one sheet of paper with both couples names and the date
