Wedding Honeymoon Tips
| Helpful Honeymoon Tips
1. Apply for a passport early (2-3 months) if you need one to travel to your honeymoon destination. Post Offices have passport applications. 2. Confirm your reservations a week in advance! Its easier and less frustrating to work out problems earlier rather than when you arrive at the hotel. 3. Dont leave for your honeymoon the day after your reception. Many couples stay up very late celebrating and plan on sleeping on the plane, which is never a very restful sleep. You will be more recovered from your celebrations if you have a day to rest before you leave for your honeymoon. 4. Consider the hurricane seasons and the winter/summer seasons in the northern and southern hemispheres when deciding of a honeymoon location and date. Many couples are choosing to plan their honeymoon during the ideal time to visit a location, even if it means holding off their vacation a few months after the wedding. Packing Make sure you pack before the wedding! Do not put this off. Many couples put packing on the back burner and leave it to minutes before their ride to their airport leaves. Packing early will help prevent you from forgetting important items like your bathing suit or dress clothes. Make sure you bring the important items on your carry on. Luggage can get lost and your carry on should include the items you can not go a few days without. - Tickets - Travelers checks - Wallet with ID (drivers license), credit cards and some cash - Proof of age and citizenship (birth certificate) - Passport - Name and number of someone to contact in case of an emergency - Glasses/contacts - Toothbrush and toothpaste - Medication - Camera and film - Any jewelry that you are bringing - DO NOT bring scissors or nail clippers on the plane By Nicole Mazzeo Wrapwithus wedding favors |
