Wedding ring barer

The wedding ring barer is typically a boy between 3-7 years old. Younger children are harder to control, so you should take into account how mature your prospective ring barer is. Usually a younger cousin or nephew is chosen for this position. The ring barer's job is to talk down the aisle carrying a silk or lace wedding ring pillow holding the rings. Usually fake rings are placed on the pillow and the best man and maid of honor hold onto the real rings for safekeeping. The fake rings can be secured onto the pillow with a ribbon. The ring barer's attire depends on how formal the wedding ceremony is and can range from a mini-tuxedo or suit, to kakis and a dress shirt. It is usually optional for the ring barer to stand with the wedding attendants during the ceremony. If the ring barer wants to stand with the rest of the wedding attendants for the ceremony, you may want to have a seat waiting in the front row incase he changes his mind.
